Hi! I'm Hannah, a UX Designer based in Seattle, Washington who is inspired and excited by people-first design.

I was inspired to become a UX designer while working in customer service for a large tech company. Every day I ran into customer pain points that should have been easy to solve. Because the product wasn’t designed with the user in mind, they were increasingly frustrated. 
A coworker once reported a customer issue to our product team and was told that the product was “working as expected.” 

Her response was “If that’s working as expected, then we need to change our expectations.” 

This has become the guiding principle of my design philosophy. That users should not change their behavior for the sake of a design, but instead, the product should change to match the user experience.

I am an expert at identifying and escalating emerging issues and working collaboratively across customer service, engineering and marketing teams to find a long term solution to customer pain points. I am comfortable and excited to talk directly to customers and do user research to create the best product from the beginning, as well as being flexible with my design based on stakeholder feedback.
